Details of the project
Supporting the women behind the soldiers

The wives and mothers of soldiers experience high emotional stress, balancing their own fears and anxieties while providing stability for their families. The constant uncertainty of military life can lead to emotional exhaustion, anxiety, and maladaptive coping mechanisms.

Expanding emotional resilience for families

Launched as a pilot program from November 2023 to October 2024, the initiative has been extended through at least the end of 2025 due to its success in creating meaningful emotional change for participants and their families.

By focusing on women as pillars of emotional support within their households, EmotionAid® ensures that resilience-building extends beyond the individual, positively impacting entire families.

Empowering women to strengthen their families

By providing these women with practical self-regulation techniques, the program helps them:

  • Understand and manage their stress responses to improve emotional well-being.
  • Develop adaptive coping strategies and reduce dependence on unhealthy behaviors.
  • Strengthen family resilience by fostering open communication and emotional support.
  • Create a strong support network where they feel understood and empowered through shared experiences.

Implemented in two key phases, it includes:

  • Two individual EmotionAid® self-regulation sessions per participant, focusing on personal stress management.
  • Two collective sessions, reinforcing group connection, shared learning, and emotional support.

Through these sessions, participants gain the confidence and tools to help their families cope with stress more effectively, fostering a calmer, more resilient home environment.

Testimonial

I must tell you that I sincerely believe our paths did not cross by chance. I talk about EmotionAid as a wildcard that, I believe, has allowed the four of us to stay together. Of course, it’s not always smooth sailing, but I truly feel that thanks to you, we understand each other better, we want this to work, and above all, we don’t want to hurt each other.
